Reelport Server Virtualization
Server relocation during operation - Started as submission platform for the Oberhausen Short Film Festival, the TYPO3-based application quickly grew beyond its originally planned purposes. The success of the application quickly led to a critical situation with regard to hardware and scaling possibilities of the application. Migration project to virtualize a dedicated server during operation.

Different components interact in the use of Reelport, so a move during operation was a challenge that required careful planning in advance. In addition to stabilizing unreliable hardware, large amounts of data also had to be moved.
